Canyon river snakes
Barely kissing the soft shoulders
of the hovering hills
-----------
You pour yourself out
Spilling forth your entirety
All on our behalf
-----------
Her face stroked the years with broken sadness
and slightly chilled
the guilty hands
limb bare, shrunken,
shuddered time good-bye
-----------
Now placid vistas
belie the brutal carving
of there creation
-------------
Lines once scrawled in haste
leave there closeted intentions
to reach prominence

Remember not desires of old
or faces found in stone
flowers strewn on marble
death distinctly told
---------------
Beware of writing
on the back of photographs, as
it often bleeds through
-------------
Some Haikus are good
Some are not worth the powder
to blow them to hell - rjp
-------------
The forest pours forth
it's golden bounty of life
dying with the gift
--------------
Emblazen your name
Let all who can do the same
your glory proclaim
-------------
Often we travel
through dry and lonely places
to find peace and rest
